Age is just a number for this incredible fitness icon who is always being on the top of his game with his charming personality and love for health and fitness. The Indian supermodel, actor, film producer, and brand ambassador for Pinkathon (a marathon initiative that focuses on women’s fitness) won the prestigious 'Ironman' title in Zurich after completing the toughest triathlon organized by World Triathlon Corporation in 2015 that included 3.8 km swimming followed by 180.2 km bicycle ride and 42.2 km highway running, overall took almost 16 hours to accomplish.

At the age of 54, when people start looking for a more static and hustle-free life, Milind Soman devotes his life to his fitness goals, performing far better than his 20's or 30's with more of his youthful outlook and a 'minimalist approach' to life.

From Glasgow, Scotland where he was born, later England where he lived with his family until the age of seven, to Mumbai, India where at the age of 10, he started representing the state of Maharastra for international level swimming followed by winning four consecutive national senior level swimming championships from the year 1984 to 1987.

Later on, in 2017 he again accepted the world's toughest endurance challenge when participated and ranked 41st in a greater triathlon with 10 km swim, 421 km bicycle ride, and 85 km of running in a total time of three days which was an incredibly great achievement. A fitness promoter like him knows how to trigger the motivation among people by reflecting his actions through quotes upon which some are-

"Fitness is a matter of choice"

One of the popular from 'Milind Soman-Quotations' which explains itself very straight to the point in its simplest form. Everyone realizes that moving ahead in life with the aging day by day we lose our flexibility and the energy which were used to be our teenage charms when life was more than just earning to survive and surviving to earn. Better late than never, if we can make a choice today, tomorrow we will be one step closer to a fitter lifestyle

"Failure is a state of mind. Every experience prepares us for the next"

The 'fear' of failure pushes the mindset back to chaos. Even if we want to try something new, we start to assume what is going to be lost if we fail to achieve what we wanted. Well if you won't start, you probably won't know what are your possible capabilities. Failure can be just another step to the way of your success because people use to learn the deepest life lessons from their failure and not the success.

“You feel pain for a reason. Don’t ignore it. Don’t suppress it. Explore it. Understand it. Use it to get stronger.”

Because we are subjected to life, we're bound to our emotions and instincts. Pain always comes for a reason, that is to make you stronger than the present. Your choice to bear the short-term pain will provide more freedom to your inner self over the long-term regret of denial which may last a lifetime to deal with. So choose wisely when you can afford to. ☺

"Begin. Adapt. Survive. Triumph. That is the journey of every success."

And that's the way it simply works. Initially, our mind resists bringing a change into consideration until slowly everything starts to go well when we take control of our thoughts and decision-making ability.

When it comes to food which plays a major role from bodybuilding to an athletic lifestyle, the Indian traditional meal style is a blessing. You may find it surprising after educating yourself about the everyday diet Soman choose to live with, which (in his own words) is-

"Every morning I eat seasonal fruits, whole watermelon, mangoes—all together. My meals are rice, dal, and any vegetables available."

While fruits are the rich source for a number of benefits including higher metabolism, rice is the main source of energy(carbohydrates) followed by dal(protein), Roti for fiber and vegetables for all required nutrition we need, together makes a delicious Indian meal from a satisfying taste to everyday healthy nutrition.

In the time of nationwide lock-down, Soman continues to inspire people across the globe on his social media handles by posting everyday workout tips and motivations. Take a look at his magnificent jumping push-ups which, to be honest, is not a piece of cake even for professional young age athletes.
